A customer is willing to pay a premium to get their order faster \u2014 but that only works if your store can actually deliver on that promise, and if the delivery estimate shown reflects the expedited timeline rather than your standard one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What Makes Rush Orders Complicated<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The challenge with rush orders isn’t just speed \u2014 it’s accuracy of communication. If you offer a ‘Next Day Delivery’ option but display the same delivery estimate as standard shipping, customers will either not notice the value of the upgrade or they’ll expect the faster timeline and get confused when the estimate doesn’t reflect it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conversely, if you show an aggressive express delivery estimate but your fulfilment operation can’t reliably hit it, you’re setting yourself up for disappointed customers and refund requests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Approach 1: Per-Product Overrides for Express Items<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
